Please accept greetings
from the Secretariat of Indian Academy of Neurology. I am sure that
this letter will find you in the best of spirit. As most of you are

October 23-26, 2008 (Thursday to Sunday). The duration of the
conference shall be three and half days. Though the Indian Academy
of Neurology conference is held every hosting this conference in
India during the 11th Asian Oceanian Congress of Neurology held in
2004 in Singapore. We will prefer to call this as World Congress of
Asia. After the World Congress of Neurology held in New Delhi in
1989 this will be the big international meeting of Neurology being
held in India after a gap of 19 years. Let us all make it one of the
memorable events.
A parallal Pre-conference

October 22, 2008 (Wednesday) at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. A
post conference movement disorders symposium will be held in the
after noon of 26th October 2008 at Hotel Ashok, the venue of
AOCN-IANCON 2008.
The response for the
conference has been very encouraging and we have already received

that Dr. John A. Aarli, President, World Federation of Neurology,
Dr. Vladimir Hachinski, First Vice President, World Federation of

The Executive Committee of
IAN met at New Delhi on February 2, 2008 to take stock of the

satisfied by the scientific programme prepared so far presented by
the Chair, Scientific Committee, Dr. Maduri Behari, President,
Indian Academy of Neurology and Dr. M. M. Mehndiratta, Organising
Secretary of AOCN-IANCON-2008. We have tried to make a scientific

well as Indian faculty.
The elections for the
various posts of IAN are around the corner and the nominations are
being invited.
Looking forward to see you
all in large numbers in New Delhi for the conference.

Sincerely yours,
